MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — A 17-year-old boy has been arrested and taken into custody -- two days after a stabbing at Wahooz in Meridian.
Meridian Police says the Nampa suspect's name will not be released due to his age.
CBS2's Emri Moore spoke with Meridian's Police Department asking if our community is still considered safe.
“These things can happen anywhere. There’s disagreement, there’s different walks of life walking throughout anyplace and any city. And these tings can and do break out at different times," said Chief Tracy Basterrechea.
"Meridian would like to thank the media and community members for providing information that led to this arrest," Meridian PD said.
Just before 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, police say a 14-year-old boy was stabbed by an unknown person. The suspect then took off in a black BMW with 2C plates. The 14-year-old was responsive and conscious when transported by ambulance.
