Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s girlfriend Desiree Jones has long term relationship status.
How is that possible? He’s only 21!
Well, subheader 2, that’s a great question. One can achieve long term relationship status when you begin dating at the age of 14. FOURTEEN. You make it through high school, and the rising celeb status at LSU. You make it through the draft and a first round pick. And now you survive through a rockstar rookie season for the NFL powerhouse Chiefs and into the playoffs? Yeah, you’ve attained long term status.
Baton Rouge is in their blood. Like the star running back, Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s girlfriend is also a Baton Rouge native. The couple grew up in the Louisiana town before they began studying at LSU. Desiree is a Child and Family Studies major. She previously interned for a small company, The Family Counselor. When it comes to her current goings-on, things have gone somewhat cold on that trail. Hey, between a 2020 lockdown and ya know,… the guy you’ve been with for a third of your life, gotta imagine your plate is full.
A quiet social media front
Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s girlfriend maintains a relatively quiet social media presence. It’s probably a smart plan for young people entering the ranks of professional sports and the constant scrutiny they receive. She’s dabbled in starting up a Pinterest based blog, A Desire for More. Neither the Instagram or Pinterest pages have seen much activity. Again. Lots on her plate.
It’s certainly reasonable to predict a wedding could be in the near future for these two. Almost eight years is a long time with anyone, especially when you’re only 21. But, this couple may be one where an official title doesn’t matter so much. These two are clearly working, and have one hell of a foundation under their feet. Does a ring change anything, really? We’ll keep an eye out to see if it actually does!!
