Genshin Impact 3.0 update maintenance time and schedule
With the current update wrapping up its events by 23rd August, players can jump into the Genshin Impact 3.0 update by 24th August. Unlike previous patches, the initial Sumeru update will last for 35 days as the patch duration has been shortened by a week but this does not mean that there will be any compromise with the content.
The maintenance time for this update will commence at 06:00 (UTC+8) and might go on till 5 hours. It should be noted that during this time, players won’t be able to access the game, therefore, they should complete all the daily commissions and quests beforehand. As a compensation for this lost time, players can claim 300 primogems.

It can be said undoubtedly that the Genshin Impact 3.0 update will bring massive content for the players. From new characters to a new area, everything will be worth exploring in the new patch. We have jotted down the crucial details of this update below-
New Area
The new area Sumeru will be permanently added to the game after the 3.0 update goes live on the global servers. Since Sumeru is the 4th nation of Teyvat, players should be ready to see the map getting expanded. - Avidya Forest
- Lokapala Jungle
- Ardravi Valley
- Ashavan Realm
- Vissudha Field
- Vanarana
New characters
To welcome players in the Genshin Impact 3.0 update, HoYoverse will bring 3 new characters that hail from Sumeru. These characters will be available in different phases of character event wishes-

- Collei (4-star Dendro)
- Dori (4-star Dendro)

- End of the Line (Free)
Sumeru will also introduce a series of weapons that can be forged. Their rarity is 4-star and can be obtained for free in a specific area of Sumeru-

- Moonpiercer (Polearm)
- Fruit of Fulfillment (Catalyst)
- King’s Squire (bow)
New Artifacts
With new domains arriving in the next update, players have to defeat enemies if they wish to claim the two rare artifacts that will dropped by high level enemies-

- Gilded Dreams (Elemental Mastery)
New events
To assist players in their primogem hunt, the Genshin Impact 3.0 update will bring a major event named ‘Graven Innocence’ whose details have also been released. This event will not only provide primogems but offer a chance to get the new character Collei for free.
