MERIDIAN, Idaho (KBOI) — The Village at Meridian says it plans to make several upgrades to its movie theater for cinema fans -- including electric reclining seats.
Officials with the Village say in addition to the new seats, the auditoriums will install Dolby Atmos Sound, currently featured in its two giant screen rooms, to more auditoriums in the existing complex.
In addition to the seating and sound improvements, the Village says its planning to build a new luxury cinema during the property's next phase of development.
“Our goal is to continue to provide the best moviegoing experience available anywhere. In the Treasure Valley, that means providing more amenities and cinema seating due to rapid growth in the area. We truly enjoy serving the Treasure Valley and we're sure our guests will love the new additions to The Village at Meridian," said Dave Corkill, CEO of Cinema West, the cinema operator at The Village at Meridian.
The next phase of development will include the potential for more retail, dining and lodging. Renderings and plans for the next phase of development will be released in the coming months.
